Description
Students express themselves through playwriting exercises and techniques. Children learn the importance of group dynamics and the five basic elements of playwriting and practice writing skills. This residency supports concentration, literacy skills, imagination, creative expression and self-reflection.

Students Will
  • learn the basic elements in playwriting.
  • create one-act play.

Deadline: Minimum of 3 weeks prior to requested program date
Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract by mail, fax, or email. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program taking place as scheduled, Young Audiences will offer the option of rescheduling or using a substitute artist. Programs canceled by a school or community presenter after confirmation are subject to full payment. A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged if a schedule change is requested after a program has been confirmed.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must remain with class at all times.
