Description
Instructor meets with students once or twice a week to develop students' skills and knowledge, culminating in a final project called Nature Sketchbook designed to link kids with nature. The class is taught by CAC instructor and well-known botanical artist Cynthia Padilla.

Students Will
  • Fill a journal with quick sketches, notes and notations, written observations of weathers and skies, measurements, pressed specimens and landscape drawings.

Deadline: 2 weeks in advance
Cancellation Policy: The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) requires a 72-hour (three business days) notification of cancellation or rescheduling of an artist's visit on campus. For Artist-in-Residency programs, CAC requires a 2-week, 14 business days cancellation or rescheduling notification.
After School Policy: The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) requires that Big Thought or DISD personnel stay after the booked time for parents/guardians to pick up children. CAC requires that an assistant be available for all afterschool programs.
