Description

Using traditional book-building and paper crafts methods, students create and illustrate a box, then fill it with an assortment of fun, non-traditional books. Then they will explore ways to fill the pages of their books with art and writing based on curriculum subjects. This unique residency boots creativity, build strong writing skills, and helps students think outside AND inside the box.

Duration: Four one hour sessions; more can be added for in depth expereinces
School Fee: 4 days x 2 classes (minimum) = $600. Supply fee of $2.00 per student.
Minimum Attendance: 5

Other Information: Minimum of two consecutive classes must participate. Also, all participating teachers must attend a 30-minute teacher/artist meeting prior to the residency.

Deadline: Minimum of three weeks prior to requested start date.
Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract by mail, fax, or email. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program taking place as scheduled, Young Audiences will offer the option of rescheduling or using a substitute artist. Programs canceled by a school or community presenter after confirmation are subject to full payment. A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged if a schedule change is requested after a program has been confirmed.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must remain with class at all times.
