Description

The majesty of African sounds and rhythmic traditions come to life in this wonderfully educational program. Our instructors are accomplished musicians who have studied under many master drummers of Africa, and in various African Ballets. He is founder of Kumaasi African Ensemble and is excited to extend his wealth of information with youth throughout the country. African Drumming not only teaches children how to play rhythms, but also teaches them the origin and purpose of each rhythm. Students also study various kinds of instruments and their "hierarchical" standing in Africa.
