Description
Students will delight in creating a cloth bound handback sketchbook with sturdy pages for drawing, painting and collaging. This program is great at boosting students self esteem and sense of accomplisment from the making, decorating and using their books to explore and write about the world. The program will culminate in exhibit of the student's drawings, watercolors and books. Class can be taught up to twice a week for up to six week. Instructor is painter Robert Moore and all supplies are included.

Students Will
  • Use math skills as they plan and cut their materials to minimize waste.
  • They will use science skills as they journey around the school sketching and painting from nature and the architecture of the school.
  • Will learn about the three types of perspective.
  • Will explore portraiture by drawing each other.

Cancellation Policy: The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) requires a 72-hour (three business days) notification of cancellation or rescheduling of an artist's visit on campus. For Artist-in-Residency programs, CAC requires a 2-week, 14 business days cancellation or rescheduling notification.
After School Policy: The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC) requires that Big Thought or DISD personnel stay after the booked time for parents/guardians to pick up children. CAC requires that an assistant be available for all afterschool programs.
