Description
Our mission is to provide youth with a safe and nurturing space for a hands-on theater arts experience. After School Drama Class Workshops are designed to encourage creative expression and self-discovery in a supportive, non-judgmental way. While fun and entertaining, these classes teach students critically needed life skills. Students expand their ability to communicate through vocal and physical exercises and learn to work effectively with others. As a result, participants enhance their ability to make decisions, resolve conflicts and express themselves in a healthy manner. Students study character and plot then learn performance techniques and prepare their play for viewing.

Dates: Anytime during school year.
Times: After school
Duration: 60-90 minutes once a week
School Fee: $100.00 per 60 or 90 minute class.
Minimum Attendance: 0
Maximum Attendance: 25

Technical Needs: The school provides: a physical space large enough and quiet enough to allow the group to work comfortably and without interruption; at least one staff member on site during each drama session.
Other Information: Booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scheduling / Booking
Instructions: To book weekday matinees call the Artreach Booking Service at (214) 219-2049 or email jackiwomack@swbell.net. For weekend performances or additional information call (214) 740-0051. Tickets for groups of less than 10 are $12.00 per ticket. If you have just under 10 it may make sense to pay for 10, in order to receive the discounted group rate. To book residencies or after school programs call 214-978-0110.
Deadline: At least one month lead time.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation Policy: For shows: no refunds once tickets are reserved, deposit paid, or APP# issued. In the case of inclement weather Dallas Children's Theater does not cancel performances unless DISD has Closed. For After School Drama Classes: if DCT is notified one month prior to start date of a scheduled class there is no charge. If a school cancels the classes after they have begun DCT will charge for one full month. In cases of inclement weather, DCT will make every attempt to reschedule a make-up class, but if the class cannot be rescheduled the school will be expected to pay for the full month.
After School Policy: After School Policy: The school provides: a physical space large and quiet enough to allow the group to work comfortably and without interruption; at least one staff member on site during the drama class session; distribution of enrollment forms; and a contact person.
